Dear Artists, Supporters, and Friends;
The Youth Art Auction hosted at Hobbie Horse Stables and Sanctuary was able to contribute to some very deserving organizations: the Children’s Resource Center, Humane Ohio, SNIP, the Wood County Dog Shelter, and the Wood County Humane Society. It is through organizations such as these that our children and our animals are given the attention and care that they need. Employees, volunteers, and supporters of these five organizations have given countless hours and vast amounts of time and energy into improving the relationships between children and animals within our community. On June 3rd, we were able to raise $2695.00 that will benefit all five of these local organizations.
In addition to raising funds, we were also able to enlighten a large group of people on the mistreatment and disrespect many of our animals are facing on a daily basis. We feel it is important to inform the public on matters such as these, and even more so to educate our youth on how to be responsible and loving pet owners. The more people are aware of the abuse and neglect our animals are facing, the closer we are in our fight to end such horrible acts of animal cruelty; such as malnourishment, abandonment, and slaughter for human consumption!
The months of planning and promoting, countless hours setting up, and the last minute trips in the middle of the night to collect artwork were all worth the aid and encouragement we were able to provide. Without the help of so many able bodies and kind hearts, none of this would have been possible!
We cannot thank you enough for you help and endless support!!
